Restoration of the monastery cell of Ath. Diakos

Athanasios Diakos was one of the main figures of the Greek Revolution of 1821. In his place of birth, a village in central Greece called Artotina, a monastery cell dedicated to him is being restored to become a museum. The study aims to restore the monument, in a way that preserves it while complementing its historic and archaeological significance. Structural problems where resolved, while the aesthetic value of the monument and its surrounding was enhanced.
