APPARTMENT BUILDING IN LYCABETUS, ATHENS
The project consists of a three storey apartment building, with pilotis and basement, on a trapezoidal plot. The main concept is highlighted by an atrium that brings light into the centre of the basement, crossed by a steel and wooden bridge, leading to the building’s main entrance. The roof provides an excellent view of Athens and the Lycabetus hill, therefore it is partially covered by a pergola and partially planted, creating an appealing atmosphere for the residents. Proper orientation for maximum lighting and ventilation within the apartments was also taken into account during the design process.
