“Ano Pedina” is one of the villages in Central Zaggori in the Ioannina Prefecture. It has been designed as a conservation area due to its distinctive local architectural style.

The aim of the project was to perform a series of architectural studies on the building structure and composition, determine the architectural value and present condition. Subsequently, the study provides restoration and development recommendations for the entire village:

• integration of the main road
• restoration of the stone and soil pavements and further additions
• public spaces redesigning and reconstruction
• development of underground utilities network
• restoration of the primary school building and the churches
• selection of buildings to be listed
